Could the hero of the Titanic have survived? James ended the discussion

The classic film Titanic, directed by renowned filmmaker James Cameron, is celebrating its silver jubilee next Friday.

On February 10, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the iconic film, the film’s cast including Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and other Hollywood stars will celebrate with a re-release of the film.

Ahead of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, director James Cameron is finally ready to put an end to the debate over Titanic’s climax, whether Rose could have saved her hero Jack. And could Jack have saved his life by climbing over the wooden door himself?

In the climactic scene of the film, Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) does not care for his own life in trying to save the heroine Rose and ends up floating in icy water to his death.

The heroine in this film was played by actress Kate Winslet, for whose career the film proved to be a great start.

But fans have always felt that Jack, along with heroine Rose, could have come to the floating door and Rose could have saved his life.

Highlights of a Silver Jubilee show on Good Morning America’s official Twitter handle featured James Cameron getting into the water himself and dispelling the doubts of fans.

To recreate the climactic scene, the Academy Award-winning filmmakers go into a water tank with two stunt performers to prove whether or not two adults could fit together on a floating door.

James Cameron admitted in some of his interviews earlier that maybe Jack should have had a chance to live.

In an interview in 2012, Cameron said: ‘The script said Jack was going to die, he had to die. Maybe we have a technical error. The floating board should have been a little shorter because the hero had to sink.’

He added: ‘If he had lived, the end of the film would have been pointless. The film is about death and separation. Jack had to die.’

But in the highlights of this new experience, James Cameron can also be heard saying at the end of the clip: ‘Jack could have survived, but there are many factors, but Jack couldn’t have done anything that would have endangered Rose. And he fits his character.

Finally, the host says that there is no single definitive answer to the outcome of this experiment.
