Côte d’Ivoire-AIP/ The Global Fund to Fight HIV AIDS and Tuberculosis evaluates its support for health structures in Aboisso

Aboisso, August 31, 2022 (AIP)-The Global Fund to Fight HIV AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria carried out on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, an assessment visit of its support for health facilities in Aboisso.

To get an idea of ​​the fight, the delegation led by Paula Hacopian visited various health structures including the school health service and health of adolescents and young people and the regional hospital center (CHR) of Aboisso. They visited the voluntary screening center, the laboratory, the data pool, the pharmacy to see the support provided by the health services at the medical level and at the community level, according to Ms. Hacopian.

For her, this visit will also have made it possible to realize the improvements recorded in terms of health in this fight with a program which is progressing “at the desired pace”.

The coordinating director of the National AIDS Control Program (PNLS), Prof. Ehui Eboi, hailed the “very important donor” that the global fund constitutes in the fight once morest AIDS. This fund indicated, Professor Ehui, supports Côte d’Ivoire in the purchase of drugs, the capacity building of service providers through the NGO Alliance Côte d’Ivoire which deploys in the communities to screen, assist and support the sick.

The delegation will visit other health facilities, we learned.

The Global Fund is an international movement dedicated to defeating HIV, TB and malaria and ensuring a healthier, safer and fairer future for all. It mobilizes and invests regarding four billion US dollars a year to fight the most “deadly” infectious diseases, fight the injustice that fuels them and strengthen the health systems of more than 100 countries.
