On his roadmap, we note the increase in vaccination coverage to 95% (all antigens combined), the reduction in the incidence of uncomplicated malaria in vulnerable populations (pregnant women and children aged 1 to 5), massive screening for cases of malnutrition and their treatment, reduction in the overall rate of abandonment of prenatal consultations and the performance of all childbirths the health area at the Gbémazo health center.

For the optimal execution of this roadmap, Dr. Yao has human resources needs, in particular the assignment of a second midwife and a second doctor. As for material needs, they can be summed up in computer equipment (computers and printers) and the supply of biomedical materials. There is also the need for the construction of a courtyard for vaccination, a placenta pit and a burning pit.

“We are delighted with this performance, which is the result of the highly appreciated commitment of medical staff and the involvement of managers in awareness-raising,” says Bakary Sanogo, executive secretary of the local development mutual fund.

The president of the women’s association, Mawa Sanogo, intends to help maintain the momentum of progress. “We are going to maintain the dynamic of attendance at the center, and above all tell my daughters and sisters to continue to take the children to the hospital for consultations and vaccinations. Just like no longer taking the enormous risks associated with home births, ”she says.
