Costanera Sur will be inaugurated on Sunday, July 14 with a family bike ride and concert

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Claudia Centurión, announced that the work that will reduce travel time between Asunción and Lambaré will be inaugurated next Sunday, July 14, at 9:00 a.m. and on two wheels, as it invites all families to attend a great bike ride.

This proposal seeks to involve the true owners of the Costanera Sur, the citizens of the entire country, and so, just like the inauguration of the Puente Héroes del Chaco, massive participation is sought.

The head of the MOPC said that they want children, young people, adults, and grandparents to join in to participate in this great party and they ask everyone who can to go with their red and white flag, she indicated during the press conference.

Opportunity to walk around and learn regarding the work

The Costanera Sur is 8 km long and people will be able to complete it by pedalling. The aim is that, in addition to promoting sporting activities and walking, participants should learn regarding this project.

The bike ride will continue until approximately noon. In the evening, the ceremonial act is planned with the ribbon cutting and a grand finale by one of the most beloved artistic groups by Paraguayans, Tierra Adentro, Centurión said.

For the second activity, which will start at 4:00 p.m., those interested can go to the amphitheater area of ​​the Costanera, which will also make that space available for the cultural activities that they want to carry out.

Sports modalities

For his part, the general director of the National Sports Secretariat (SND), Ricardo Deggeller, said that the institution will have 13 sports modalities including karate Do, chess, dance therapy, athletics, artistic gymnastics, handball, judo, fencing, ITF taekwo-Do, football and futsal, skating, zumba and volleyball.

Inter-institutional support

This activity is supported by the National Sports Secretariat, whose representatives will be present with various sports disciplines.

The Paraguayan Sanitation Services Company (ESSAP) is also providing water, the Municipality of Asunción is providing PMT agents, the Ministry of the Interior is providing security agents, and the Ministry of Health is providing personnel for any necessary health care, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications reported.
