Cosquín Rock announced its 2025 edition: how to put together your ideal weekend to travel with friends

The most important Argentine festival celebrates 25 years of history and on February 15 and 16 of next year it will be celebrated in style with a new edition. Every summer, the festival Cosquin Rock brings together thousands and thousands of fans in Córdoba who travel from different parts of the country to listen to the best local and foreign bands. Although there are still months to go and it is not yet known who will play, it is always a good idea to plan your trip in advance to get the ideal tickets, the most comfortable accommodation and the tickets at the best price.

The entries

Tickets for Cosquín Rock 2025 went on sale today, Wednesday, July 24, at 10 a.m. They are sold only through the Official website of Cosquín Rockan item to keep in mind since many resale sites tend to appear where it is not advisable to buy tickets. As the lineup of artists has not yet been revealed, this first round of tickets will be the cheapest. As the months go by and the musicians and schedules of each one are revealed, they will go up in price. In addition, those who have BBVA bank cards will be able to buy them in 12 interest-free installments with Modo. Although the artists are not yet confirmed, the truth is that the festival never disappoints.

The place

Cosquín Rock was born after the legendary Cosquín folklore festival, but although it still has its name, it has not been held in that town for some time, but at the Santa María de Punilla Aerodrome (3 kilometers south of Cosquín and 42 km from the city of Córdoba). It covers 14 hectares in total, the largest surface area used for a festival in Latin America, and last year it had six stages and brought together more than 100,000 people. Because of the size of the site, and the time it takes to walk from one stage to the other, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing, good sneakers, enough warm clothing in case it gets cold at night, and always stay well hydrated.

the arrival

It depends on where you come from, obviously, but you have to think ahead about how you want to get there. If you decide to travel by plane, the closest way is to fly to the city of Córdoba, and from there get to Santa María de Punilla by renting a car or by bus. If you go by bus, it is best to buy a ticket directly to Santa María de Punilla or the nearby town where you are staying. Going by car, sharing the cost of gas and lodging, is also a very good plan.

Mobility

The Aerodrome where the festival takes place is reached by Route 38 and transportation from where you are staying to Cosquín Rock is also something to think about in advance. One of the ideal plans is to rent a car, have a “designated driver” who does not drink alcohol every night, and pay for parking on the premises. The other option, if you are relatively close, is to walk. There are buses, but they can also have long waits. Taxis and apps, due to high demand, can also be difficult to find on site.

Hosting

The typical plan in Cosquín is to include camping. There are several in Cosquín, Santa María de Punilla and nearby towns, and it is a recommended accommodation to live the full experience and save on expenses. But also, due to the high demand, it is advisable to reserve places in advance. Another option can be, of course, hotels, hostels and Airbnbs in the area; also ideally everything should be reserved in advance.
