Cosmote is putting an end to the discount for issuing electronic bills, according to an information letter that it has already started sending to its subscribers
OTE SA and COSMOTE SA with their announcement, which has already started to be sent to their subscribers, announces that from 10/1/2023 for subscribers who receive a monthly e-bill, and from 10/23/2023 2023 for subscribers who receive a bimonthly e-bill, the provision of the discount of €1/month (€0.77 before VAT and fixed telephony fee) or €2/two months (€1.54 before VAT and fixed telephony fee) for fixed telephony subscribers, and €0.98 / month (€0.72 before VAT and mobile telephony fee) for mobile telephony subscribers.
The cancellation of the discount will appear on the first bill issued for each subscriber after the above dates respectively.
Affected fixed and mobile subscribers of Cosmote and OTE have the right to terminate their contract free of charge up to two (2) months, if they receive a monthly bill, or three (3) months, if they receive a bi-monthly bill, from the placement in validity of the above modifications, provided that the effects of the termination occur no earlier than the day before the day of activation of the modification.
Subscribers with a fixed-term contract will continue to be liable for the payment of any device or terminal subsidy balance that has not been amortized by the time of termination, in accordance with the terms of their contract.
According to the company, the promotion to switch from paper to electronic bill by providing a discount was completely successful as it helped more than 80% of our subscribers to now receive e-bill. In this way we all contributed to the protection of the environment. Indicatively, for 2022 alone we have saved 524 tons of paper.
At the same time, as part of the further promotion of digital services, from 1/10/2023 the 7-day free data offered as a gift with every electronic payment of a Fixed or Mobile bill through the COSMOTE APP and My COSMOTE application will be tripled from 1GB to 3GB of the website www.cosmote.gr. The COSMOTE mobile chosen by the subscriber can receive up to two free packages per day due to the electronic payment, one for Mobile payment and one for Landline payment.
