Cosme Argerich: A Pioneer in Medicine and Revolutionary Hero in Buenos Aires

Cosme Argerich He was born on September 26, 1758 in Buenos Aires and was the doctor who gave his name to one of the most important hospitals in the city, in addition to standing out for his work during the May Revolution.

Son of a Catalan surgeon settled in the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, Argerich traveled to Spain where he studied medicine and received his degree.
