Corsair has reported that graphics card shipments will improve significantly in the coming months. In turn, this will lead to a price reduction to the recommended market price – or even below it. It may sound too good, but since Corsair makes and sells PC hardware, it needs to have an understanding of the market.
In the first quarter, graphics cards – the most expensive component in the PC – were still selling at inflated prices, around 150% of the recommended market price, but even with this premium, we saw activity even higher than before the pandemic and before the shortage of graphics cards began.
We expect that the price of video cards will return to the recommended price soon, or even lower. As GPUs and CPUs become more affordable and affordable, we expect a surge in gaming PC builds in the second half of 2022 and into 2023. A similar positive trend will be with the periphery.

What will be the situation in reality, time will tell. As for Russia, it is impossible to say something for sure, since the country is under a thick layer of sanctions. Parallel imports will be able to close part of the demand, but it is not even clear how high it will be due to the economic situation in the country.
