Corporate football: Open Immobilier achieves the double

It was time for the finals on Wednesday evening at the Plaine d’Eysses. Time to finally lower the curtain on the corporate football tournament and to meet once more next year for a new edition. Like last year, the grand final pitted the two favorite teams of the tournament once morest each other, Open Immobilier and Taxi Pascal. And like last year, the former teams won by the same score (3-0). Led by Mathieu Garcia in great Olympic form, the “All Blacks” made up of former FCVL star players demonstrated great technical mastery with a well-oiled team. Dominant in occupation and possession, this “dream team” of the corpo scored two goals in the first half thanks to the intelligence of the game and the paw of Brice Goussin. And when Jérôme Ladroitte’s teammates had strong moments, when they got closer to the truth zone, they regularly came up once morest goalkeeper David Chesnais, who was impassable in his goal and made several reflex saves. In the second half, Open Immobilier managed its lead, even increasing the score a little more thanks to a hat-trick from the tireless Brice Goussin, who was very inspired the other evening. A great final that was played in an excellent state of mind and with playing conditions that were quite autumnal for a month of July. At the end of this last match of the 2024 tournament, it was time for rewards for all the teams whose watchword was above all to have fun on the pitch, but above all to respect the opponent and the referee. A small ceremony chaired by Edouard Bastardo, the tournament organizer, who will now take a breather and quietly prepare the new FCVL sports season with the other members of the office. We will have the opportunity to come back to this in the coming days.
