There have been some 2,400 cases and 29 hospitalizations per day during the past week. Figures comparable to the previous week.

Neuchâtel has the highest incidence in French-speaking Switzerland, with 326 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past 14 days. Swiss average: 385.

17,015 new people tested positive in one week, 205 additional hospitalizations and 15 new deaths recorded in Switzerland and Liechtenstein: this is the assessment of the pandemic, according to data from the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP) communicated on Tuesday .

According to these weekly figures, there were therefore some 2,400 cases and 29 hospitalizations per day during the past week. Last week, the data was comparable, with 2,600 cases and 29 hospitalizations per day.

In the last seven days, 54,647 tests have been carried out. The PCR test positivity rate is 33.5% (40.4% for rapid antigen tests). The intensive care unit occupancy rate is 70.9%: 3.5% Covid patients and 67.3% non-Covid.

In total, since the start of the pandemic, Switzerland has counted 13,589 deaths, 57,455 hospitalizations and 4,029,651 people who tested positive for the coronavirus.

With 385 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (448 last Tuesday), the fourteen-day incidence rate in Switzerland is lower than that of all its neighbors, according to WHO figures: France (387), Italy (565), Germany (640) and Austria (876).

Switzerland has 69.3% of its population fully vaccinated and 1% partially. 44.3% of the population received a booster dose. This proportion is 78.6% among those aged 65 and over.
