According to the sources, the PCB was expecting at least 100 million Pakistani rupees in the central revenue pool of the Pakistan Super League from the matches scheduled at the National Stadium, but now the PCB has lost it. Sources say that this money was to be received by the Pakistan Cricket Board for ticket sales, hosting and other brand activation.

Sources say that now this loss of central pool of PSL will have to be borne by the Pakistan Cricket Board and all PSL franchises as per the pre-determined formula. According to the formula, PCB’s share in the central pool is 30 percent while 6 franchises (Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans) have a combined share of 70 percent. It is feared that if such cases continue in Punjab, the loss of PCB will increase further.
