A sharp increase in coronavirus cases has been observed in six urban centers of Greece. Along with the cases, hospitalizations are also increasing, while the new F456L and R346T mutations prevail.
In fact, experts fear that the indicators will increase even more this week as there is an increase in the viral load.
According to EODY, in six Greek cities out of the 10 that were checked, an increase of up to 99% is observed. Specifically:
Patras (+99%)
Thessaloniki (+87%)
Xanthi (+66%)
Larisa (+51%)
Alexandroupoli (+50%)
Heraklion (+36%)
Rapid Test before the holidays
Many citizens in the last few days rush to the pharmacies in order to do a rapid test, before leaving for their holidays.
In fact, as a pharmacist reported to SKAI, there are queues of citizens outside the pharmacy every day, with the number of positive tests: “We are seeing an increase in cases, about 7 out of 10 tests are positive. We also see an increase in cases of streptococcus in children, but nothing to worry about.”
