Corona lockdown, Skype has introduced a new feature for users

Skype, a video calling application owned by Microsoft, has introduced a great facility for its users, after which they will not need to create an ID to participate in a video call.

In the video released by Skype, it is mentioned that through the new facility or feature, a user can create a chat room for meeting which will be linked and then three friends can be added to it through the link.

Importantly, in order to participate in group calling or online meeting on Skype, it is not necessary to have another user’s ID and it will not be a condition that the application is downloaded on his computer or mobile.

Under the new feature, when the user clicks on the link sent, he will be able to go to the Skype website and use the free conference call facility, an invite or share button is also shown to share the link to create a group.

If a user has Skype downloaded, he will join the call directly on the app without an ID, otherwise the link sent will open on the Internet browser on the mobile or computer.

It should be noted that this feature was introduced earlier by Skype, but keeping in mind the increased usage due to the lockdown, the company reintroduced it.

In a report released by Microsoft this week, it was stated that since the lockdown, 40 million users worldwide are using Skype every day, this number has increased by 70% in the last 6 months.

According to the report, Skype-to-Skype calls have increased by 220%, with over 200 million users in the last 6 months.
