Corona: Berset confidant clamped Ringier

There was apparently a close, secret exchange between Alain Berset’s department and the Ringier publishing house during the pandemic. The “Blick” often knew before the Federal Council which measures the interior minister wanted to apply for. Now the first politicians are demanding consequences.

The “Blick” and other Ringier newspapers were often remarkably well informed during the pandemic. When in November 2020 a very small delegation, consisting of heads of pharmaceuticals and high-ranking members of the Federal Department of Home Affairs (EDI), agreed on the first large-scale vaccine delivery, the “Blick” headline on the front page: “Switzerland gets the vaccine!”
