This Friday (18), Gaviões da Fiel, Corinthians and Caixa Econômica Federal will formalize a Protocol of Intent related to Neo Química Arena‘s debt. The document aims to regulate the “fundraising” proposed by the organized fans to help pay off the amounts owed by the club for the construction of the stadium. According to Corinthians reported on ‘Transparency Day’, held last month, the total owed to the state bank is R$710 million.

The signing event is scheduled for 4pm (Brasília time) in São Paulo, and will be attended by the chief minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic, Alexandre Padilha; the president of CAIXA, Carlos Vieira; and the board of directors of Corinthians and Gaviões da Fiel.

The crowdfunding initiative was suggested by Gaviões da Fiel, with the aim of mobilizing fans to contribute directly to paying off the debt. Both the club and Caixa demonstrated support for the proposal, which seeks to be a collaborative solution for paying for the stadium.

After signing the protocol, the organized fans will work on promoting an official platform, which will include a website and a Pix key dedicated to fundraising. These amounts will be deposited directly into Caixa’s account, ensuring that neither organized fans nor Corinthians will have direct access to financial transactions.

The Gaviões clarify that, to date, the Pix key for the campaign has not yet been released. That’s why they warn Corinthians fans not to fall for scams. The Pix key should be announced soon, after the details of the agreement are formalized.

Corinthians’ Debt Collecting Comedy: Gaviões da Fiel to the Rescue!

Published by Thiago Braga on October 18, 2024

Ah, the beautiful game! Where the fans cheer louder than politicians during an election and debts loom larger than a referee’s bad call. This Friday, the hills of São Paulo will echo with the sweet sounds of bureaucratic agreements as Gaviões da Fiel, along with Corinthians and the Caixa Econômica Federal, gather to formally sign a Protocol of Intent regarding the staggering R$710 million debt for the Neo Química Arena. Yes, you heard right folks—it’s a “fundraising” initiative proposed by the organized fans to chip away at a debt that is larger than my love for a good roast!

The Event: It’s Like Comic Relief, but With Money

The signing event is set for 4pm Brasília time. Expect a star-studded lineup featuring Alexandre Padilha, the chief minister of Institutional Relations, and Carlos Vieira, the president of CAIXA—because what’s a debt event without a minister to keep the spirits high? Picture it: a gathering of passionate fans, officials, and a palpable excitement—as close to a rock concert as a financial meeting gets!

Hollywood Blockbuster? More Like a Studio Trouble

This crowdfunding initiative by the Gaviões da Fiel shows just how industrious Brazilian fans can be! Who needs Hollywood scripts when you can rally the community to pay off a stadium debt? Fans will soon be able to contribute to a shiny new website and an equally shiny Pix key to funnel funds directly to Caixa—thus ensuring the fans and the club stay out of the way of actual finances. Because nothing says “trust” quite like an organized fanbase playing accountant!

Don’t Fall for Scams! Because Who Doesn’t Love a Good Con?

And here’s a gentle reminder for all Corinthians fans: the Pix key is not yet released, so be wary of any shady characters promising you that they’re in on the “inside scoop” for donations. Think of it like a police procedural—you have to wait for the big reveal, reel in those scams, and stay, well, *informed*.

In Summary

In a world where football brings people together, the Gaviões da Fiel are stepping up, turning fans into financial superheroes—debt fighters in capes made from Corinthians colors! The collaborative spirit is alive and well, proving that while a club’s finances may be a comedy of errors, its supporters have the heart and the humor to navigate through it. So, gear up, fans! It’s time to put on your thinking caps…and possibly a little bit of spandex.

Remember folks, whether you’re on the pitch or working through financial shenanigans, the show must go on!
