Córdoba, venue of the 12th PRME Meeting

The 12th Meeting Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in Latin America and the Caribbean will take place between November 1 and 2 of this year in the city of Córdoba.

PRME is a global platform promoted by the United Nations for learning and leadership that promotes responsible business education with a vision of triple impact, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The meeting will take place at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (FCE) of the National University of Córdoba (UNC). Until August 18, the call for papers on academic papers on this subject and the application for the sustainability award, “Consuelo García de la Torre” that recognizes the work of business schools, will be open.

PRME is co-organized by the FCE-UNC and the Blas Pascal University (UBP), through its business school, Córdoba Management School (CMS).

The objective of PRME is to train leaders and directors capable of making ethical decisions, considering the social and environmental impact of their decisions. This year the motto will be “Forming leaders with purpose”.

Some of the axes that will be addressed in this congress will be: the management of Sustainability, CSR and triple impact organizations; climate crisis, biodiversity and regenerative development and governance, ethics, transparency and responsible investments, among others.

Participants

The participation of Latin American exhibitors from the business sector, civil society, governments and the academic sector who have an interest in sustainability and responsible business is expected.

Catalina Alberto, dean FCE-UNC, highlighted the importance of creating this knowledge space. “We believe in the generation of value from these meetings, which allow us to address the complex challenges faced by universities, companies and society in the 21st century”, she pointed out.

While Teresa Olivi, rector of the UBP, described the fundamental role of higher education institutions in the construction of a sustainable conscience.

“Universities have a central role when it comes to articulating the debate on the main global challenges with companies, governments and society. Working together on education and sustainability is undoubtedly one of the most important challenges of these times “, said.

The program has more than 800 institutions around the world, among which are the business schools of John Hopkins University, in the United States, and Oxford, in the United Kingdom.
