A teacher was removed from her position following being denounced for assaulting a six-year-old boy who suffers from Autism Spectrum Disorder. It happened in the northern Yofre neighborhood of the city of Córdoba.
The proceedings were carried out by prosecutor Raúl Garzón and the woman was charged with “minor injuries”. Both the authorities of the educational establishment where the attack allegedly took place and those of the Ministry of Education met with the student’s mother.

At first, the woman said that she did not take that accusation as true. However, when he returned to her house and gave her son the corresponding medicine, he remained in crisis. After 20 minutes, she received a call from the integrative teacher, who told her what had happened hours before.
“The young lady was tying a partner’s shoelaces and ‘Fran’ -her son- reacts by hitting him, a reaction he has due to his condition. Then the teacher got up and hit him on the chest. She fell and hit herself,” the woman said.
Prosecutor Garzón ordered psychological and psychiatric tests. Meanwhile, the director of the establishment and the mother of the minor have already testified before the Prosecutor’s Office. The teacher was separated from her position as the investigation progresses.
