Celeste Rodríguez (30), the woman who on February 1 ended up murdering her mother María Rosa Ravetti (59) in her home in Capilla del Monte, since she might not find a way out for her mother or herself, it was over taking life in jail.
His mother had several health conditions and was bedridden.
Celeste was imprisoned in the Women’s Prison, in the Padre Lucchesse Prison Complex, and charged with qualified homicide, by order of the Cosquín prosecutor, Paula Kelm, who was advancing with the investigation of this dramatic episode.
Celeste was receiving psychological treatment inside the walls and, as it turned out, her defense was trying to change the cover and her eventual freedom.
Judicial sources confirmed to The voice that Celeste made her self-determination on Sunday night, two months following committing the matricide. Her death is under judicial investigation. Everything closes in a self-determination. Nothing suggests another criminal hypothesis.
Celeste Rodríguez was in charge of her mother and her three daughters. With no job and no help, her young mother and daughter had been left alone with caregiving. Since that Wednesday night, February 1, Celeste Rodríguez had been imprisoned in the Women’s Prison.
Housed in a special pavilion, she was accused of homicide qualified by the link, at the request of the prosecution.

Rosa had had a stroke, suffered from Alzheimer’s and had cancer.
Due to her health complications, including pneumonia, she was admitted to the Domingo Funes de Punilla Regional Hospital.

During the pandemic, for reasons of force majeure, Rosa moved into Celeste’s house.

Already in December 2022, the situation became even more complex. Rosa had a major relapse and her health picture went downhill. She practically mightn’t move. She had a new stroke.
As it already appears from the case, in order to take care of her mother and not stop doing the same with her daughters, Celeste was forced to spend more time at home without being able to go out to work to earn money and support the home. “The girl had to dedicate herself to the care of her mother and her little ones in an absolute way. Absolute”, emphasized another source with access to the investigation.
Celeste found the channel to vent on her social networks. Or perhaps, to cry out for help.
“I don’t give more, nobody helps me. I’m tired. Exhausted ”, she reads in one of her posts. “Everyone washes their hands and leaves everything to me. And yes, I am strong, but I get tired ”, reads a recent publication.
In another post, he wrote: “I asked for a long time for help. Nobody helped me, nobody answered. I hope my daughters are okay. God forgive me”.
