Born in Berlin and raised in Beaune, the heart of great Burgundy wines, he inherited his passion for wine from his grandfather, a wine merchant, and his father, who managed prestigious cellars like Les Caves de la Reine Pédauque and La Grande Cave de Vougeot. After dedicating 22 years to GPI, a company specializing in the manufacture of casino chips, he decided to embark on a new chapter in his life. Benjamin joined GPI as a student in Savigny-lès-Beaune and steadily moved up the ranks until he assumed responsibilities for planning. A redundancy plan became a turning point for him. With his steadfast love for wine, he chose to devote himself fully to this passion by founding Maison Billy in August 2022. After building an impressive cellar, he realized the importance of sharing his expertise by offering at-home tastings. Following this success, he inaugurated a wine cellar featuring a careful selection of Burgundy wines, as well as those from other French regions and abroad.
