15, 20 or 25 minutes?

How long will Colombia have to wait for Shakira to step off the pitch really?

– It’s a risk!, says union captain Nestor Lorenzo.

Usually, a break in a soccer match is always 15 minutes long.

The number of cases where one of the teams is late for the second half is few, but does occur from time to time.

With the Copa America final coming up soon, both teams will come out on the field later than the usual 15 minutes.

The reason? World star Shakira will provide the halftime entertainment in Super Bowl style.

Who is not satisfied? Colombia’s national team captain Nestor Lorenzo.

– When we have come out following 16 minutes, we have received a fine. Now it’s a show and then suddenly we’re not supposed to get out before it’s taken 20 or 25 minutes? It can affect the players. They risk getting cold. It’s a risk! It is not good for the recovery in the dressing room, he says according to Reuters.

“Then we wouldn’t have made it here”

While he explains that he knows and understands that “Shakira is an incredible artist”, he has his position clear:

– The break should be like in any other match, the rule applies for 15 minutes.

But in the end, he believes that it is regarding the conditions to be able to make the best match possible.

The goal is obvious: to win the title!

– If we hadn’t performed well, we wouldn’t even have made it here. To beat Argentina, we have to be the best version of ourselves and repeat ourselves, says Lorenzo.

During the night of Sunday, Uruguay won the bronze following defeating Canada.
