The streets surrounding the Salon du livre de Montréal were barricaded for COP15, making access to the Palais des Congrès difficult, even intimidating.

More and more fences are installed around the Palais des Congrès in the run-up to COP15, the UN summit on biodiversity which is expected to bring together thousands of people from December 7 to December 19. But the building currently hosts the Book Fair and bibliophiles may have been surprised by these security measures.
However, we must not give up going to the Book Fair, since only one of the 10 entrances to the establishment is blocked today.
Moreover, the Salon du livre is particularly easy to reach by public transport.
“The best way to get to the Salon du livre is by metro. We arrive directly at the Place-d’Armes station and we don’t even have to go outside, there is direct access inside, it’s the number one solution,” explained Olivier Gougeon, general manager. of the Montreal Book Fair.
If public transit is not an option, don’t worry: parking lots are available nearby.
“There is parking around, there are parking lots next to the Palace, but as it is very popular, it may be full. I recommend coming to a metro station away, park, take the metro and arrive directly inside, ”detailed Mr. Gougeon.
