Cooperation and strike of the national union of air traffic controllers on the menu of Burkinabè newspapers
Ouagadougou, August 23, 2022 (AIB) – This Tuesday’s Burkinabè dailies comment on cooperation between Burkina Faso and Niger in the fight once morest terrorism, without forgetting the strike of the national union of air traffic controllers, scheduled for 25 to August 27.
“National union of air traffic controllers: 72 hours of stoppage on the horizon”, features on its headline, the oldest private newspaper in Burkina Faso, L’Observateur Paalga.
The private daily reports that the National Union of Air Traffic Controllers and Assimilated of Burkina (SYNCAB), of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) was yesterday Monday in Ouagadougou in front of the press to announce a strike of 72 hours.
According to him, the strike which will be organized by this union, a member of the Union of Controllers’ Unions, will take place from August 25 to 27, 2022.
In the same vein, the private newspaper Le Pays maintains that SYNCAB demands satisfaction of its 19-point protest platform which aims to strengthen the operational capacities of its members, their professional development and their career plans.
Under another aspect, the national daily Sidwaya displays on its front page: “Fight once morest terrorism: Burkina Faso and Niger join hands”.
According to the state daily, the President of Faso, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba exchanged yesterday Monday in Ouagadougou, with the ministers in charge of defense of Niger, Alkassoum Indattou and Burkina, General Barthélémy Simporé.
In his opinion, this meeting focused on military cooperation in the fight once morest “the forces of evil” at the level of the two countries.
Sidwaya adds that this cooperation will also extend to the field of communication.
Still on the subject of the fight once morest terrorism, Le Pays comments on the words of Albori Gadiaga, a national of Thiou in the province of Lorum, North region.
The newspaper highlights the words of Mr. Gadiaga who believes that “it is not in lies that the government will overcome insecurity in the country”.
