The distribution juggernaut Coop merges its areas of promotion, digital services and IT into a single department in its general management, called ‘Digital and Customer’.
The reins of the new unit will be entrusted to Thomas Schwetje, hitherto responsible for promotion and digital services, said a press release released on Monday.
The current IT manager, Reto Conrad, will leave the company ‘on good terms’ in order to take on new challenges outside of Coop according to the established formula.
The new functions induced by the transformations will be provided as far as possible internally and no job cuts are planned in this context, assures the other orange giant.
