Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju has said that it is not allowed to stick sun film on vehicles. The Central Motor Vehicle Code stipulates that the front and rear safety glasses of vehicles must be at least 70 per cent transparent and the sides 50 per cent transparent.

Cooling film, tinted film and black film will continue to be banned. The reason for the confusion is that the law is misinterpreted. Seek legal advice on using glazing plastic.
