Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian activist Wael Ghonim entered the line of controversy and criticism directed at an upcoming concert by American rapper Travis Scott at the foot of the Giza pyramids, calling on officials to prevent the concert, which sparked an interaction among activists on Twitter.
The American rapper had announced a few days ago, through his Twitter account, the release of his album “Utopia” at the Pyramids of Giza. “I can’t wait to see you,” he said.
The concert is scheduled to be held to launch the American singer’s album on July 28.
Wael Ghonim said in a tweet on his Twitter account, on Sunday: “Good morning, the officials who, God willing, will prevent the party of Travis Scott, the American rapper who is coming to sing his garbage and promote drug addiction next to the great pyramids of Egypt.”
