The film ‘The Snow Society’, recently released on Netflix and in cinema chains such as Cineplanet, has generated various reactions among the public. One of the most critical was the Peruvian actor Lucho Cáceres, who expressed his dissatisfaction with the film through his social networks, despite the good comments from experts.

This fiction is an adaptation of the novel by Pablo Vierci, which tells the true story of the 16 survivors of a plane crash in the Andes in 1972. It was directed by the Argentine Martín Hodara and has an international cast that includes Enzo Vogrincic Roldán, Simón Hempe, Matías Recalt, among others.

After its publication on the platform, many left their appreciation of this film. However, not everyone has been satisfied with this new version, which joins two other previous films about the same event: ‘Survivors of the Andes’ (1976) and ‘Viven!’ (1993).

Lucho Cáceres generated controversy after expressing his dissatisfaction with the Netflix film ‘The Snow Society’, which currently leads the content ranking on the platform.

Through his Instagram profile, the also protagonist of the series ‘Mil Oficios’ stated that he considered having lost two and a half hours watching the feature film, a statement that has taken the audience by surprise.

“I feel like I wasted 2 and a half hours of my life. They say that it is not a remake, that it is told from another point of view, it was not enough for me,” she noted in the description of her post.

Along these lines, he pointed out that despite the numerous positive comments he had read, his personal experience was different. “I don’t know if it’s because I knew exactly everything that was going to happen, or because I liked the first one better,” she added.

His reaction has sparked widespread debate among Internet users. For this reason, he responded to some user comments, defending his point of view and requesting respect for diverse perspectives.

“And I have not done any satire as you mention, I have only expressed what I felt when watching the film,” he emphasized, adding that there is no unanimous obligation for everyone to like it.

Lucho Cáceres also generated controversy for criticizing the final of ‘Al Fondo Hay Sitio’, last December 2023. Through his Instagram account, he questioned the quality and interest aroused by the outcome of the national production.

Lucho Cáceres and Erick Elera face a dispute on social networks after the end of ‘Al Fondo Hay Sitio’.

The interpreter’s statements precipitated a virtual altercation with Erick Elera, actor who plays ‘Joel Gonzales’ in the aforementioned fiction, who responded ironically. The dispute escalated when the interpreter stated that he would not waste time on stories that he considers predictable and simplistic.

“As for being attentive, I do it with everything, Erick dear, cinema, theater and television, I work on this, but it would never occur to me to waste a single second of my time in front of a story that has been repeated for more than 20 years” , said.

“It has absolutely no suspense, it is totally predictable and absurd in the worst of ways, in fact, I think it is stupid rather than entertaining, but that is just my point of view,” he added in his Instagram message.

Actress Irma Maury, 73, tried to moderate the discussion with a more pleasant tone, however, she also defended the audience’s interest in the outcomes of television fictions.

Additionally, Lucho Cáceres expressed his decision not to participate in ‘El Gran Chef Famosos’, despite recognizing the value of the reality format.

In his own words: “I like the program, I think it’s the best there is right now, but I don’t see myself there,” he expressed during an interview with ‘Cinesmero’.

Lucho Cáceres, in response to criticism after its publication, said that he has first-hand knowledge of the events and met Nando Parrado, one of the survivors. Despite this, the actor suggested that the film might be of interest to those unfamiliar with the historical event,

“I have too much information on the subject and when I saw it I knew exactly everything that was going to happen, I did not feel what some mention that it is told differently, another point of view, no, I did not feel it at all,” he posted on Facebook.
