After a visa was granted to the mayor of Tehran to be able to come to Brussels to represent the Iranian capital at the Brussels Urban Summit, Hadja Lahbib is in turmoil. This is absurd, we know that this money will be used for military and terrorist purposes, for rocket launchers or others”, he laments.

“No new measure”
He therefore asked Hadja Lahbib whether Belgium would, as Germany or the Netherlands do, prohibit the political branch of Hezbollah from transiting through Belgium. To which the minister replied that no action would be taken. Explaining himself: “The threat of Hebzollah vis-à-vis Belgium is not experiencing an evolution that would justify a change in our national position. This is what emerges from consultations between my department and the security and intelligence services of our country. The taking of new measures at the national level is not, at this stage, envisaged”.
Which made Michael Freilich rise in the towers. “The fact that Hezbollah is destabilizing Lebanon, threatening Israel with 100,000 rockets and sponsoring global terrorism seems to matter little to the minister. She seems to accept that our country becomes a financial hub for Hezbollah,” he wrote on Twitter.
