Controversy between Syrians and accusations of theft… What is the story of “breaking a bone”?

This year, Syrian drama returned to a brilliance that was absent from most of the past war years, as several works imposed themselves on the artistic scene, achieving high viewership figures during the first days of the current Ramadan season.

Perhaps the series “Kasr Adham” had the lion’s share, but following the great success that it achieved and the admiration of the audience, something disturbed that happiness.

Accusation of theft and live broadcast

The Syrian writer Fouad Hamira, Clacket Art Production Company, accused its owner, Iyad Al-Najjar, of stealing the text and attributed it to another writer, in conjunction with the director of the work, Rasha Sharbatji, to open a war front that was the talk of social media during the past hours.

Hamira went out with a live broadcast on his Facebook page, accusing him of stealing the text “Hayat Malha”, which he had originally sold to the same company years ago, and its production faltered for many reasons, and he presented evidence that many axes from the series “Kaser A’em” were copied from his work and attributed to another writer.

He also confirmed that he had contacted the director of the work, Rasha Sharbatji, and asked her the matter, but she did not accept the issue, which opened the door to a debate between the two parties.

The writer also published pictures of conversations with artistic personalities who support his words, including the Syrian director Seif El-Din Subai’i, who announced that he had rejected an offer from the production company years ago to direct the work because he did not bear the name of its original writer.

He confirmed that the writer Samer Radwan also rejected an offer from the producer to reformulate the text, because he knew it was Hamira.

Writer Fadi Ziva also published a clarification on his Facebook account, in which he confirmed that there is a great similarity between the text “A salty life” and the text “Break a Bone”, and the text “Security Disruption”, which he sold to the same company and put it on its shelves to benefit from it later through novice writers because of his mood The product, he said.

Producing Company: We don’t have time

After this controversy, the company producing the work announced that this accusation was false, and that its aim was only to disrupt the success of the work.

It also confirmed in a statement, that it will respond on Wednesday, April 20, with a statement of 10 minutes, to these accusations, which it considered do not need more than this time, justifying this by its preoccupation and its inability to waste time, according to the statement.

The story from the beginning

In the face of this confusion, Al Arabiya.net contacted a Syrian technical source familiar with the matter, who refused to reveal his name due to the sensitivity of the situation, as he put it. He explained that Clacket Company had actually purchased the script of the series “Hayat Malha” from Humaira years ago, and that it would be produced in 2011.

In that year, preparations began to actually work with the brightest Syrian stars, including the artist Jamal Suleiman, who was to present the main character, which he presented today in “Breaking the Bone” of the Syrian artist Fayez Qazak, and the artist Tim Hassan was scheduled to participate in the championship, but the outbreak of the crisis halted the entire project. .

Months later, the company returned to managing the work, replacing some of the stars, to replace the artist, Fares Al-Helou, as a main character, and there are official statements from the artist to the media confirming this information.

Due to the absence of stars once more with the development of the crisis and the conditions of war, work stopped once more.

So portraying the cause of the confusion?!

The source added that it seems that the company is now taking advantage of some of the “salty life” lines in the text of “breaking a bone” with the help of another writer.

He also added that her goal might be to obtain permission to photograph inside Syria, since the name “Fouad Hamira” does not achieve the desired purpose, as the writer is opposed to the authorities there and has left the country for years.

The source returned and clarified that the company usually has the right to use its texts in its own way following paying the writer’s fees, but it does not have the right to attribute the text to another writer, according to him.

It is mentioned that the case has never ended, but everyone is waiting for the company’s statement, which is scheduled to be announced following 4 days, in order to confirm or deny the accusations, amid great controversy on social media, where opinions were divided between supporters of the writer Fouad Hamira, who confirmed that the text of “Masr Adham” He carries the same spirit and the same in writing, especially that he has many similar models, including “Deer in the Forest of Wolves” with the same director Rasha Sharbatji, and among those who preferred to wait for a decisive response from the producing company to end this confusion.

As for the work, it was written by the company, written by Ali Moeen Saleh, and directed by Rasha Hisham Sharbatji.
