According to the investigation by Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI), the judge who issued the final ruling on Claudia Sheinbaum’s Tlalpan house, José Guadalupe Mejía Galán, has been accused of alleged cases of corruption and favoritism.

In 2014, it was in controversy by issuing resolutions that ignored the jurisdiction of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (Ifetel) in matters of content retransmission, in a lawsuit between Televisa and Dish, in contempt of the constitutional reform in matters of radio broadcasting and telecommunications.

After Judge Mejía Galán’s ruling that the Tlalpan property be deeded in the name of Ímaz, the bank that served as trustee in the trust appealed the ruling. And it was in June 2019 when the seventh civil chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City confirmed the resolution.

One of the judges who resolved the challenge, Petra Quezada Guzmán, has been investigated for alleged trafficking of files and is linked to Morena, a party in which she has collaborated as an advisor.
