A promising and current theme, a prestigious scientific location and speakers with high-sounding titles. At first glance, the “integrative medicine and cancer” symposium, which will be held on November 11 at Campus Biotech in Geneva, seems promising. However, reading the program is enough to raise eyebrows. Vague interventions, mention of dubious therapeutic approaches, reference to a controversial personality, and even intervention by a speaker removed from the Order of Physicians in France.

As if that were not enough, the organizers mention Eric Bonvin, director of the Valais Hospital, as a member of the “scientific committee” of the conference. However, questioned by The weather, he explains that he was never asked for this event. Experts are legitimately concerned regarding the discredit that this symposium might bring to natural medicines.
