According to the family, the school did not help their son “immediately”, and one of his classmates called his older brother Ghassan, a third-grade student, who tried to help him in his private car while he was in a “hysterical state”, which endangered him and the injured person, and the car burned with them in the middle of the road. before passers-by intervened and took them to the hospital.
The school administration did not communicate with the student’s guardian at the time of the accident, despite being aware of an electrical short circuit in the gym a few weeks ago, and no “safety and preventive measures” were taken, according to the family’s statement to the newspaper.
According to the family, there is a health counselor in the school, but he did not provide first aid to the student, and he is currently in a “coma and in critical condition” and is in intensive care at the hospital and is not responding to treatment.
In an interview with the “Ya Hala” program on the Gulf Rotana channel, the father of the injured student accused the school of failing to “help his son.”
When the student was shocked, “all the school attendees,” both male and female, turned away from him, and said, “Get away from his place,” until his brother came to take him to the hospital, according to the father, in his interview with the programme.
The father indicated that the school did not call the ambulance, and none of the teachers moved to take his son to the hospital.
The father said that the problem of water leakage has been going on for months, and the school principal told him that they had sent 4 letters to the educational administration in Jizan to address the problem and had not received any response.
On the other hand, the official spokeswoman for the General Administration of Education in Jazan Region, Rajaa Al-Attas, said that a committee was formed to find out the details of the incident immediately following the incident occurred.
