Controls continue within the framework of the Protected Tourist program – Web de Noticias

  • They will be held during the months of January, February and March of this year.
  • They control that the prices are displayed, the conservation of the food and the non-collection of a surcharge when paying with a debit and credit card in one payment.
  • In this sense, so far eight complaints have been registered.

Within the framework of the Protected Tourist program of the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Commercial Loyalty of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mining; Inspectors tour the city of Córdoba and the tourist spots in the different valleys of the Province during the current summer season 2022.

This Program is carried out until March of this year with the aim of protecting the rights of consumers and users who vacation in Córdoba.

The controls carried out by the Consumer Protection staff are:

  • The correct display of prices in stores and food establishments.
  • The labeling of food products, which preserve the. cold chain and expiration dates, to guarantee consumers a safe food.
  • The non-collection of surcharges when the user pays with a debit or credit card in a payment.

Regarding the prohibition of collection of surcharges when paying with virtual means, credit and debit cards in one payment, from the provincial division it is reported that eight (8) claims have been received so far in the month of January of the current year, by users and consumers.

Suppliers of goods and services that use this practice of charging surcharges will be subject to severe penalties. That is why it is important that the prices of the products or services are displayed correctly so that the consumer can control that he pays what is indicated without suffering surcharges when paying in a payment.

In this sense, those who are affected by this action are requested to report it to the Province Directorate for Consumer Protection and Commercial Loyalty so that it can intervene quickly, through the following communication channels:
