According to a report by the Washington Post, Meta plans to push some leaders to lower-level positions, in order to lower the levels of management that separate Company president Mark Zuckerberg About the trainees in the company.

Other managers may end up overseeing more employees as their teams grow.

In addition to decisions targeting directors, the company is also considering more traditional cuts, including cutting some projects and jobs.

This report comes even though Zuckerberg had stated that he did not expect to implement more dismissals following the company cut 11,000 jobs at the end of last year.



The young billionaire confirmed in statements to the remaining employees that he had implemented large job cuts to reduce the chances of carrying out such large dismissals in the foreseeable future.

The report stressed that these plans target all departments within the company and all over the world and will not occur collectively, but will likely be implemented over the coming months.

Meta announced plans in November to lay off 11,000 company employees, or 13% of the workforce, as part of a wave of layoffs within technology companies.

Zuckerberg said in a letter to employees that he is making a “difficult decision” to reduce the number of employees and lay off 11,000 employees, and that management is also taking decisions to increase the company’s efficiency, such as freezing hiring until the first quarter of 2023.
