Recently, RTL-TVI viewers saw a certain Sabine once more in Jean-Michel Zecca’s new show, “Le Dilemma”. In 2018, the Liégeoise tried her luck in the tenth season of “L’amour est dans le pré”: she was one of the contenders of Fabrice, a limousine breeder in Vaux-sur-Sûre (province of Luxembourg).

Flashback: on the set of speed dating, this peacekeeper in the City of Liège distinguished herself from her competitors by refusing to let the farmer choose her to go to his farm… before arriving there for a few days later ! At the time, production confided to us: “Sabine monopolized Fabrice and arranged so that Geneviève, another suitor, did not get his attention. » If Fabrice suggested to Sabine on camera that she do naturism, the contender left empty-handed… before finding herself in the crosshairs of her hierarchy.

Fired following broadcast!

Sudinfo revealed in 2018 that, following the broadcast of the show, Sabine had been fired “on the grounds that her attitude is incompatible with the role of peacekeeper”. According to the report written by the Liège municipal college, “during this broadcast, the comments she makes, the behavior she adopts and the outfits she wears call for reservations regarding her professional functions. The image she conveys of herself during this program has already earned her a certain reputation, harmful to both the police force and the division. »

Contacted by us this October 18, the production company of “L’amour est dans le pré” reframes. “During the filming of the show, Sabine explained that she practiced urbex, but this practice of visiting built and abandoned places is illegal,” emphasizes Fremantle. “She might single-handedly explain his dismissal from the police force. During the recordings, everyone remains in control of their behavior and their words. »

“Risk” professions

If Sabine had not been a peacekeeper, would she have lost her job following the broadcast of this extract? Not sure… “It can be more difficult for professions linked to the public service,” concedes Julie Nettens, editor-in-chief of “L’amour est dans le pré”. “This is why some contenders may be more reluctant to sign up for the show. For example, lawyers and professors have less desire to expose themselves in the media. Now, participate whoever wants to participate. Filming is not prohibited for any profession. » However, the broadcast of “L’amour est dans le pré” also posed a problem for a French administrative employee. Candidate for the M6 show in 2022, Laurence, a civil servant, revealed that she had big problems with her employer. The cause ? She was on sick leave during the filming of the show and was therefore at risk of losing her job.

“It should have been transparent,” says the mayor of Saint-Yrieix Jacques Fournié. “His participation might be considered to undermine the internal functioning of the services. The elderly people with whom she was in contact were surprised that an agent on leave might participate in a reality TV show. »

“Of course, we ask the suitors to maintain the confidentiality of their participation, but in no case will we say that it is a good idea to lie to your employer to participate in the show”, enlightens us for its part the Belgian production from “Love is in the meadow”. “We always send the filming dates to the suitors in advance so that they can organize themselves. They know that they have to take four days off without being sure of being chosen by the farmer. Generally speaking, candidates are conscientious on this point. »

“Love is in the meadow”, Sunday November 5, 9:00 p.m., RTL-TVI.
