Spell 31 is Ibeyi’s third album. Its title refers directly to a prayer from the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead. In the space of ten songs, Lisa and Naomi confirm that their music does not respond to anything known. They are the children of a melting pot of cultures that brings together watercolors of electro, hip hop, folk with the mystique of Yoruba songs.
