He already has three iron women in mind to choose from: Alessandra Todde, the Sardinian heroine who, thanks to effective politics and communication, is making real opposition to the Meloni government; Barbara Floridia, president of the Rai supervisory commission, advocate of digital and AI, thanks to her historic closeness with Davide Casaleggio as well as custodian of the “former” Rousseau platform; last but not least, Chiara Appendino, former mayor of Turin, crippled by the judges. As a smart rim-driver in pole position to lead the Anci, Manfredi would perhaps be the only figure capable of compacting the never-born “wide field” and making the race to the center-right more difficult. Another main topic that the grillini will discuss in the Assembly will be the opening to the third mandate, with a very Christian Democratic solution: those who have completed two could only run again at local, municipal or regional level. Usually the path is reversed, but what can you do to close the ranks. In fact, it is not even surprising that Conte wants to renew the team of vice presidents, perhaps sparing only Paola Taverna, an “ultras” Conte senator.
