“I started a new position at Santa’s Children’s Sorting Service. As you know, Santa Claus only visits good children. Often parents do not know where to put those who do not listen. So we are implementing a new system. With Panda, we will be installing more such containers in the coming days.
No thanks, that’s the job. I’m just pointing out that the containers are only for bad kids. Don’t get confused. Peaceful upcoming holidays,” K. Paulavičius wrote on his Facebook account.
The photo shows a longer text: “Please be responsible and sort. Only those children who did not listen to their parents last year should be thrown into this container.
Sincerely, Santa’s Child Sorting Service.”
The post itself did not receive much attention, however, the photos with the container spread and began to be discussed quite widely. Mostly, however, negatively, since such a “joke” regarding a container for bad children seemed completely lame to many.
K. Paulavičius himself told the LNK program “Labas vakaras, Lietuva” that he wanted to lift people’s spirits: “Of course, most people smile when they see him. While walking with the dog, we saw one container that is simply unused and we used it to cheer people up.
There is an initiative to help those bad kids. It is possible to educate, but when it is said that there are no bad children, then we will only be happy if there are no such children. If we find them, we’ll send them to help Santa like gnomes.”
He emphasized that this initiative of his cannot be connected with the tragic events that we had in Lithuania recently. Let’s say that the father threw the one-year-old baby out of the window, and a two-year-old girl was left in the life cell of Kaunas.
Member of the Seimas Jurgita Sejonienė also shared a photo with this post by K. Paulavičius, and in one of the comments she wrote that it was “a joke at the level of Žemaitaitis, where he encouraged Jews to be beaten”.
The parliamentarian told the LNK program “Good evening, Lithuania” that when she saw such a note, she was first of all upset, and that “if it’s humor, it’s very lame”.
According to the member of the Seimas, people in some districts of the capital have already turned to the elders, who promise to inform the police. She herself called to simply tear off such notes and throw away the sheets.
“Apparently, when people make such bad jokes, it seems that there is something wrong with their emotions, with their psyche. I would really worry if I were such a person, that either one should joke differently or, if it seems normal to him, seek the help of a specialist”, said J. Sejonienė.
