The protest was called by PWD employees who are protesting against the abolition of the department by the government.

At the beginning of Monday’s session in the Senate, some senators complained about blocking the roads by placing containers in the capital once again, while Senator Irfanul Haque Siddiqui also presented a bill in this regard.

According to the ‘Peaceful Assembly and Public Aman Bill 2024’ presented by Senator Irfanul Haq Siddiqui, ‘Regulations should be set to restrict public gatherings to specific places in Islamabad.’

Azam Nazir Tarar, while talking about this in the Senate, said that ‘in many cities, this law already exists that people’s lives should not be affected by jalsa, processions.’

He has said that ‘We are seeing that every other day some group comes to Islamabad and sits wherever they want. In this case, the law is not obeyed.’

The Law Minister said that many provinces have already enacted provincial legislation. Islamabad has its own independent status due to which this law is lacking.’

On the bill presented by Senator Irfanul Haque Siddiqui, Azam Nazir Tarar said that it is regulating things and in hindsight it is a good effort and that is the reason why many senators of various parties have signed it. are So I don’t oppose it.’

Senator Ali Zafar said that this law is related to PTI, such laws should not be brought.
