Consumption: pistachios from Grand Frais recalled due to excessive presence of pesticides

B&S Cuisine brand pistachios marketed in Grand Frais stores have been recalled.

Before having an aperitif, make sure that your pistachios are not from the B&S Cuisine brand, because the 250-gram sachets from batch 1006, whose use-by date is April 30, 2023 and which were marketed by Grand Charges have been recalled.

The government website Drink reminder indicates that the brand has recalled these products, due to the excessive presence of pesticides in certain batches.

More precisely, the authorities have noted “the presence of pesticides in quantities greater” than the maximum residue limits (MRLs) of the European Union.

The site recommends destroying these packets of pistachios or returning them to the Grand Frais store for an exchange.

This recall indication will end on May 21.

According to a UFC-Que Choisir study published at the end of March, and cited by Capital50% of fruits and vegetables from “intensive agriculture” tested by the association “are contaminated with pesticides suspected of being carcinogenic, toxic for reproduction or DNA or endocrine disruptors”, explains Le Figaro.
