Al-Marsad Newspaper: A consultant in kidney transplantation and surgery, Dr. Moaz Al-Hazaa, revealed the criteria that determine when a person is “brain dead” and the possibility of donating a kidney to another person.
Al-Hazzaa said, during his appearance on the Ya Hala program, that a brain-dead person is very difficult to return, and even if he returns, he is in a difficult situation.
Al-Hazaa added: “There are very strict procedures for donating, so there must be a group of consultants and monitoring of the patient’s vital signs, and that the parents sign the approval.
He continued, “In these cases, doctors must be careful to sew the patient’s body in such a way that the parents feel the humanity of the human being. Every person has his inviolability, whether he is alive or dead.”
