There are now three fields out of a total of 21, which have begun work to create a new sports infrastructure in the Ñuble region. This time it was Quillón’s turn, in the Cerro Negro sector, where Governor Óscar Crisóstomo, accompanied by Mayor Miguel Peña and the community, began the construction of the synthetic grass space that also considers a perimeter closure.
The total investment in the project by the Regional Government is $377,846,351 for an area of 7,420 m2, solerillas that delimit the playing space, drainage system and metal closing structure.
“We are improving the living conditions for boys, girls and adolescents in this sector and for athletes in general,” said Governor Crisóstomo, and recalled that “this is the third field that has begun to be executed in our region, in a Our goal is 21 fields for Ñuble, which will make it possible to practice different sports disciplines and increase the amount of public infrastructure available to the communities.”
For his part, the mayor of Quillón stated that “many generations spent in this sports club playing on a dirt field, which is why it is worth thanking Governor Óscar Crisóstomo who has provided the 21 fields for the region of Ñuble and Among that, Quillón considers. I also offer greetings and join in the joy of the boys and girls of the establishments, El Casino school, where they will also be the ones who will occupy this tremendous facility from Monday to Friday; an investment for the new generations, for those of the moment and for those to come, something perhaps unthinkable, but when there is cohesive work between the municipality of Quillón and the governor, these are the results.”
“My chest is inflated” were the words of the President of the Quillón Amateur Football Association, Eliseo Sepúlveda, and he added that “with this new sports field, we reach many remote sectors of the urban area, happy because tomorrow I will be able to play here and when I leave the association I will be more than happy with all these achievements we have in the commune, which benefit the children of this and many surrounding areas.”
The work on the Cerro Negro field in Quillón is added to the works begun in the communes of Trehuaco, next to the Municipal Stadium and Portezuelo in the Llahuén Bajo sector.
