With an initial investment of more than US$20 million and 500 hectares of initial construction, yesterday the works of Synergy Industrial Park began, a site that is part of a project that in total will cover 4,700 hectares at kilometer 53 of the highway to Pacífico, promoted by the companies Spectrum and Grupo Pantaleon.
The president of the Republic, Bernardo Arévalo, as well as Ramiro Alfaro, general manager of Spectrum, participated in the ceremony of laying the first stone; Abraham Rivera, mayor of Escuintla; Diego Herrera, CEO of Grupo Pantaleón and president of the board of directors of Spectrum; and Alejandro Guillén, industrial business manager of said firm.
This project is part of a broader master plan in which housing, commerce, hotels, entertainment, green areas, hospitals, universities, schools, among many other uses will be developed, the companies explained.
The industrial park alone has 500 hectares of land (715 blocks) located in the municipality of Escuintla, which are intended for logistics and manufacturing or production companies, which facilitates access to qualified labor and fluid logistics connectivity.

Only in the initial phase of these works more than 450 jobs have been generated and in the next 5 years more than 5 thousand direct jobs and more than 10 thousand indirect jobs will be created.
