Firefighters in Walloon Brabant were called to a construction site on chaussée de Wavre following a worker was accidentally hit in the head and back by a mechanical shovel’s bucket while working in a trench on Wednesday morning at regarding 10 a.m. Despite an attempt at resuscitation, the 25-year-old victim died at the scene. The Walloon Brabant Labor Auditor has launched an investigation.
Firefighters from the Walloon Brabant rescue zone were called to intervene Wednesday morning around 10:00 a.m. on a construction site in progress at the chaussée de Wavre.
A worker working in a trench was accidentally hit in the head and back by the bucket of a mechanical shovel.
The 25-year-old victim died at the scene of the accident despite a futile attempt at resuscitation.
