The president of the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) Ñuble, Ricardo Salman, received the director of Economic and Productive Development of the Municipality of Chillán (Didepro), Renato Segura, who together with his work team presented the Business Management Proposal for Contractor Companies, an initiative that seeks, through a training course, to improve the administrative skills of contractors in the construction sector.
During the presentation, the highest authority of Didepro explained that this project seeks to provide financial tools, labor legislation, marketing, tax responsibility, costs and budgets, to entrepreneurs in the construction sector, which are of utmost importance for decision-making and achieve the growth and positioning of a company.
The president of the union valued this initiative and committed to working on the pending aspects to be defined, which he will work with the members of the Chamber, since “it is important to materialize this great initiative that will be of great contribution to our sector, in especially for those workers who decided to start as independent contractors and do not have the necessary knowledge to manage the logistics and administrative part of a company.”
Segura and his team highlighted that innovation in construction, labor legislation, tax responsibility; budgets and works control; financial management and planning; financial indicators; analysis and decision making; creating a portfolio of products and services to boost marketing; and the regulations applicable to the occupational health and safety management system, would be just some of the topics to be taught in this course.
The training is expected to last 30 chronological hours and will be carried out through group classes with a maximum number of 20 people. These classes will be taught by highly qualified teachers, who will seek to develop in class the ability to analyze cases and apply examples of success. The certification will be carried out by the OTEC Municipality of Chillán.
This course will be aimed at workers in the construction sector who wish to form their subcontracting company, professionals or entrepreneurs in the field.
It is expected that in the coming weeks the requirements to be submitted for the application, the date and the start time of this important initiative will be defined, which will contribute to the productive development of the commune.
Finally, the head of the construction sector stressed that with this project, the alliance between the Chilean Chamber of Construction Ñuble and Didepro Chillán, demonstrates the commitment that both institutions have with the strengthening of the local business fabric and the promotion of sustainable economic development in the region.
