The Constitutional Council issues its decision regarding the appeals filed in the law extending municipal and elective councils after it finished putting the final touches on its decision in the successive sessions it held, according to the Council’s President, Judge Tannous Meshlab, to the Voice of Lebanon, after a session he held today and completed some of the legal points raised.
Meshlab said, “We did not finish the discussions today, and we agree on all points. If we finish, we will issue the decision tomorrow or after, but before the 31st of this month.”
It is noteworthy that the Council had included the three appeals submitted by the Brigades, renewal, forces, and two changes, and issued its decision hours before May 31, the date of the suspension of the specified deadlines.
