Irish fighter Conor Mc Gregor will return to the pentagon following a three-year absence once morest Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29, 2024.

Former two-division champion McGregor has not fought since July 2021 and lost his previous two fights. UFC confirms welterweight bout with American Chandler following UFC 300 in Las Vegas.

McGregor has 22 wins and six losses in his MMA career, while Chandler is 23-8.

He suffered a broken leg when he was defeated by Poirier in his last fight in July 2021. He also lost to Poirier via stoppage in the second round six months earlier.

McGregor has only won once since becoming simultaneous two-weight champion in the UFC, at lightweight and featherweight, in 2016.

Chandler has been involved in some thrilling fights since moving from Bellator to the UFC in 2021, despite losing three of his five fights.

He lost to then-champion Charles Oliveira in his second UFC fight before being defeated by Justin Gaethje and Poirier.

The McGregor-Chandler fight had been confirmed but no date had been set at the start of last year, when they were coaches on the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter reality TV series.
