Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has been accused of another public fling, with a woman saying Thursday she was sexually assaulted by the athlete during an NBA Finals game.
The incident allegedly took place last Friday in Miami. In court letters obtained by ESPN, the woman accused the Heat and the NBA security team of separating her from her friend and forcing her into a men’s bathroom where McGregor was waiting for him.
The 34-year-old man would then “violently” impose himself on her. She described being “kissed violently” and then McGregor allegedly tried to force her to perform several sexual acts.
The lady quickly contacted authorities and the Miami Police Department launched an investigation with its Special Victims Unit. The Heat, the NBA and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have also become aware of the allegations.
The Irishman, meanwhile, denied the words of his accuser through his lawyer, Barbara Llanes. She told ESPN that “Mr. McGregor would not be intimidated.”
It would be the fourth time the combat sports star has been charged with sexual assault, but it is a first for him in the United States. He has never been convicted so far.
McGregor acts as a mentor in this season of The Ultimate Fighter. He might go back to the octagon by the end of the year, he who has not fought since July 2021.
