Conor McGregor is accused of raping a woman on June 9 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the same day he punched a mascot. The MMA star denies the allegations.

Conor McGregor still in a mess. According to information from the American media TMZ, the MMA star is accused of raping a woman on June 9 at the Kaseya Center in Miami after Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Heat and the Nuggets. That same evening, he punched and knocked out a mascot on the floor. “It was a sketch but everything is fine,” he defended himself.

“The allegations are false”, assures his clan

Last Saturday, McGregor allegedly violently sexually assaulted a woman in the men’s bathroom, according to a letter sent by attorney Ariel Mitchell to the fighter. Security allegedly refused to let the victim out or let her friend into the restroom. The man is said to have come out of a cabin for the disabled before “sticking his tongue in the victim’s mouth” and “kissing him aggressively”. He then allegedly forced the woman to have sex, without success.

The woman is said to have finally managed to leave the scene, forgetting her handbag in a hurry, before reporting the attack to the authorities the next morning. In a statement, the fighter McGregor’s clan denied the accusations, saying “the allegations are false” and that “Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated”. Miami police tell TMZ that an investigation has been ongoing since Sunday.

Two previous charges for similar facts

This is not the first time that Conor McGregor has been targeted by justice for similar facts since a woman accused him of rape in January 2021 (for facts dating back to 2018, in Dublin), as relayed by the New York Times. The same year, a complaint for attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, in September 2020 in Corsica, had been dismissed.
