This time it was a tight race for the serial winner of the Salzburg Women’s Run. In the end, however, Conny Stöckl-Moser was ahead once more.

Several hundred women kicked off the running festival in Mozart’s city on Friday with great enthusiasm. Most of the Salzburg women’s race was not regarding record times, but regarding moving together in a good mood.

After warming up to salsa rhythms in the Volksgarten, the starting shot was fired. Conny Stöckl-Moser, who had already won the race last year when she was pregnant, had to fight harder than usual for her victory this year. The Pinzgauer from SC Leogang covered the 5.5 kilometers along the Salzach in 19:31 minutes.

Second and third place in the women’s run went to Annika Leineweber, who was only six seconds behind Stöckl-Moser, and Anna Thaumiller from SG Schönau, who was also fastest in the U20 category in 20:02 minutes.

Husband Andreas and their eight-month-old son Adrian were already waiting for Conny Stöckl-Moser at the finish line. The Pinzgauerin was satisfied with her return to the running stage following the baby break. In December, the Pinzgauer wants to run the Valencia marathon together with her husband Andreas. But first she will tackle the half marathon in Salzburg with her husband on Sunday.

Saturday belongs entirely to the little ones in the Volksgarten, they will give their all in the mini and junior marathons and can try out many different types of sports in the varied range of sports. In addition, the OneMileForASmile inclusion run is increasing.

On Sunday, the 10-kilometer run starts at 8:45 a.m., and the marathon and half-marathon runners have their starting shot at 9 a.m.
