After the news spread during the past hours, through social media, the parliamentarian and journalist specializing in Egyptian Coptic affairs, Emad Khalil, denied what was circulated regarding the donation of the star of the Egyptian national team and the Liverpool club, Mohamed Salah3 million pounds to the families of the victims of Al-Munira Church.

Khalil explained, through his personal account on Facebook, that the Liverpool star did offer condolences for the disaster, but he did not make any donations to the victims of the accident.

This came following press reports and news spread on the communication sites talking regarding Mohamed Salah donating an amount of money to help the victims of the fire that broke out in the Abu Sefein Church in the city of “Imbaba” in the Egyptian Giza governorate, last Sunday morning, and caused the death of 41 people and the injury of others, according to what it announced. The Egyptian Ministry of Health.

However, the spark of the first confusion came due to a tweet published by the Egyptian media, Ibrahim Abdel Gawad, through his Twitter account, in which he said, “Mohamed Salah donates 3 million pounds to the victims of the Abu Sefein Church. The British newspaper “Mirror” and the American “Bleacher Report” website, and others.

It is noteworthy that a horrific fire broke out in Abu Sefein Church in Imbaba area in Giza last Sunday, killing 41 people and wounding 14.
